Take Heed -

“Take Heed” is a collection of 10 replicated posters from past women’s marches onto tapecast ceramic made in 2025, a material so thin and brittle that you can crush it with your fingers. It was important to me to use such a fragile material to replicate these posters as a sign of the fragility our history has and how simple it can be for it to be forgotten or changed, destined to repeat itself. They are cracked, but still readable. They are frail, yet ceramic has outlived us for centuries. Our history is where our strength resides and telling the truth of what has occurred in the past shows the strength of those who fought for the rights we have today. It is important to remember what those who have come before us marched for and what we still continue to fight for today. (2025)
